About the event

The Organising Committee of the King of Greystones Triathlon Challenge is made up of a team of local young voluntary professionals all striving for the same goals. These goals are to get people to participate in our Triathlon Challenge, have loads of fun in training and competing in the event and most importantly raise vital funds for our nominated charity.

The challenge of a triathlon for you or I pales in comparison to the challenge that a charity faces everyday to raise money. The work of a fundraiser is never ending. In an effort to support that, The King of Greystones Triathlon Challenge was set up as a fundraising event for a charity that needs your support.

This year our aim is to raise €70,000 for our chosen charity(ies). We are asking participants to raise a minimum of €300 each, and teams to raise €900 between them, but don't stop there if you're able to raise more. We would like to note that all running costs of the event are met by local business sponsorship ensuring that all proceeds raised on the day go directly to the charities.

We want this Challenge to be as much fun as possible for both the competitor and the supporters. Our full effort will be put into making this possible.

So whether you are an amateur, professional or simply want a challenge with the support of a team, get up off the couch, sign up for our Challenge, start training and at the same time enjoy yourself. It's all for a good cause!
